Tukkay is how our mémère (French for grandmother) and family pronounce tourtière. Tourtière is a meat pie that many French Canadians, Eastern Canadians, Franco-Americans and others, make during the holiday season.

 

Tourtière has so many variations, but our recipe is the one we enjoyed. With a mixture of warm spices, potato and onion, all you need to do is add your protein (we love a combo of beef and pork, but we do have suggestions for vegetarian options!) then fill your favorite pie crust, and bake.
